Background: Developed utilising a bespoke jig designed by Joe, the Forced Form Pendant Lights feature variations of a form that would be near impossible using a traditional former. The jig is innovative in the way that it facilitates multi-directional lamination to achieve the subtly curved forms. The design is pushed further through the use of a birch ply and aluminium composite to achieve an airy, almost weightless aesthetic, which reflects and plays with the ambient light as well as light emitted from the tubular bulbs. The flexibility of the design allows for versatility in the formation and placement of each pendant.
Outcome: A cluster of suspended lights which interact with one another as well as the ambient light within the building.
